Announced at The Game Awards 2018, it brings players back to Hope County, Montana years after Far Cry 5's nuke-filled fiery conclusion where you have to contend with a new enemy faction of pirates known as the Highwaymen.

It's rumored that the new Far Cry Apocalypse game, likely now called Far Cry New Dawn, starts where things left off in one of the endings in Far Cry 5, where Montana got struck by a nuclear bomb. New Dawn picks up 17 years after the blast, in a lawless landscape that's apparently been coated in neon-colored nuclear residue and overrun with unusual creatures. This has now been confirmed by Ubisoft at The Game Awards. It's a minor, silly detail, but a welcome one nonetheless for those who felt bad about leaving their pooch to hoof it on his own. Along the way, you will gain access to the Homebase, the sanctuary and fortress of the survivors, which can be upgraded to unlock more powerful gear and weapons. In the years since the devastation wreaked upon Hope County by nuclear war, a new world has risen from the ashes. The Far Cry New Dawn release date is February 15 and is priced at $40 in the US. It'll cost $40 in the USA; worldwide pricing has not yet been announced.

As you can infer from this sequel's title, life is returning to Hope County when the game begins.
