First, star cornerback Chris Harris Jr. went down early in a win over the Bengals last Sunday.

The Broncos are lurking as a potential sleeper in the AFC playoff hunt, but Denver's offense suffered what could be an enormous blow on Wednesday afternoon as Emmanuel Sanders suffered a lower leg injury and was helped out of practice.

The loss of Sanders can't be overstated, as he not only drove the offense with new quarterback Case Keenum, but was elevated to the true No. 1 wideout in the wake of the Demaryius Thomas trade.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders #10 of the Denver Broncos gestures with the football after a catch in the second half of the game against the Houston Texans at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on October 24, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. The 31-year-old has been the team's leading receiver this season, hauling in 71 receptions for 868 yards and four touchdowns. The Broncos also have receiver Chad Hansen on the practice squad.
