Because in every moment when our country has reached the depths of darkness, in every moment when we were at the brink, at the cusp of an abyss, and we did not know if we would be capable of saving ourselves, we have.

But this time, she's addressing an ex-politician who had criticism of the representative-elect's alleged comparison between her election victory and putting a man on the moon. In a tweet, the NY freshman lawmaker-elect wrote that her health care as a waitress was "more than TWICE" as high as what she would pay upon taking office as a congresswoman next month.

"We did it when no one else thought we could".

Ocasio-Cortez fired back at his trolling on her Twitter account along with a reference to her Green New Deal, which involves "transitioning the United States to a carbon-free, 100-percent renewable energy system, and a fully modernized electrical grid by 2035".

Huckabee had tweeted out a Daily Mail article, and said, "Ocasio-Cortez compares her election to moon landing. Huh?"

Incoming Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted Saturday that she was frustrated to learn that her health-care costs would be chopped by more than half upon entering Congress, accusing her fellow lawmakers of enjoying cheap government health insurance while opposing similar coverage for all Americans.

The former Arkansas governor was mocking the 28-year-old democratic socialist for comparing her election this November to the 1969 Moon landing.

Ocasio-Cortez has been a notable critic of both President Trump and the administration's broader policies.

We are looking forward to the change Ocasio-Cortez will bring to D.C. We've been done it before, and can do it again", she wrote, adding: "Leave the false statements to Sarah Huckabee.

"Also, you haven't been a Governor of any state for 10+ years now", Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
