Xiaomi ranks as the fourth-largest smartphone company in the world, with customers mainly concentrated in China and parts of Asia.

Xiaomi's entry into the United Kingdom follows its arrival in France and Italy this May, and the official entry last November into Spain, its first Western European market, where it had already become the third largest smartphone vendor.

The list of devices that will be updated to MIUI 10 Stable build is Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Xiaomi Mi 4s, Mi 4c, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max, Mi 4, Mi Max Prime and more.

That is now changing as today, Xiaomi held an event in London to celebrate the company's official launch in the UK. Those three devices are all Android One phones, and one would expect them to get faster updates than the regular Xiaomi phones running on MIUI.

Ahead of their launch in Malaysia tomorrow, Xiaomi has officially revealed the price of their two latest smartphones for our market, the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite.

The company's products will be sold both online and in store, including at an authorized Mi outlet due to open in London's Westfield mall on November 18. That's because it's actually transparent, giving you a direct look onto the internals of the device. "It features a 6.21" AMOLED display with a notch that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. It will use a 24 megapixel (MP) selfie camera and have rear 12MP + 5MP AI dual-cameras, all from Sony. Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 660 processor and it comes in two spec options - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The 3000mAh battery does seem like a relatively small size for a modern-day phone, though, so it will be interesting to test how long this can actually last in a real-world environment.

Now Xiaomi is ready to launch the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite in the United Kingdom, which will mark its next major worldwide expansion.
