Fossil has just announced a new range of sporty smartwatches packed with features created to help you achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

I think Fossil is offering a pretty compelling package at this price point, especially considering the hardware and newer chipset.

Online sales are underway today, followed by physical inventory headed to "select" Fossil retail stores around the world on November 12. It comes in six different colour options - gray, pink, red, blue, green, and black.

The Fossil Sport Smartwatch comes is two sizes: 41- and 43mm.

We've seen too many smartwatches come to market recently with Qualcomm's two-year-old Snapdragon Wear 2100.

The Fossil Sport is among the first smartwatches to contain the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip from Qualcomm. This new chip promises better battery life and performance over the previous-generation one. It features a nylon case with aluminum topring and pushers, and the battery life claimed is more than 24 hours, and two additional days in the battery saver mode.

With Wear OS receiving a redesign back in September, a few manufacturers have been looking to leverage the OS in new devices.

The Wear OS watch will include the latest update to the platform with the new UI and pre-loaded apps including the new Spotify Connect app, as well as something called "Noonlight" which they describe as a "peace of mind and safety app".
