Thursday night's game had that same feel to it. Boston crawled back from a 22-point second-half deficit, forced overtime and then cruised to a 116-109 win.

Irving scored Boston's first six points in the extra period, and Marcus Morris finished with 17 against his former team - including the tying 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left in regulation off a feed from Irving.

At that point, it was time to pile onto a Celtics team that has been a fairly significant disappointment despite entering the game above.500 at 6-4.

"Guys like Kyrie, he is going to have all the focus on him", Morris said.

Boston was forced to foul on Phoenix's ensuing possession, and T.J. Warren did his job by knocking down both free throws to put the Suns back up, 100-97.

The Celtics ended a two-game skid, while the Suns have lost nine of 10. The result was an energized second half that found the C's cutting the Suns lead from 20 points at the half, to 15 by the end of the third quarter, to a point with 7.3 seconds left.

The Suns led 92-76 when Booker dropped in a short fadeaway. And it's just sad to see us not giving that. Irving had a hand in this play, too, hitting his open teammate with a wraparound pass out of a double team on the opposite side of the arc.

"We just learned a lot about being resilient", Irving said. We're going to be fine, Brad's going to make sure of it, my teammates are going to make sure of it. That trend didn't get much better in the first half of the team's game against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Irving scored 18 points from the fourth quarter on to make the night possible.

"You take the blame and responsibility as a coach", Kokoskov said.

The Celtics were an absolute mess during a first half in which Irving was the only starter to score, his first-unit brethren missing all 15 shots they took while not generating a single point between them in 50 combined minutes of floor time.

Trailing by 12 points with approximately three minutes remaining, the Celtics began to heat up, led by Kyrie Irving.
