Elton John will be playing in Dublin and Belfast as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, with tickets going on sale next Friday, November 16, at 10am.

Louise Stewart, head of entertainment at TECA, said: "We are so pleased to finally announce our first music act for TECA".

Kicking off in the United States in September, the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour has already been greeted with a wealth of praise from critics and fans alike. "These shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun".

The rock legend will perform his Farewell Yellow Brick Road gig on two nights at The Event Complex Aberdeen on Friday November 20 and Saturday November 21 2020.

"Sir Elton is a world-renowned artist and TECA is created to play a significant role in ensuring Aberdeen and the wider north-east continues to compete on a global scale by attracting major artists and new events as well as retaining existing worldwide events".

By the end of this week, over half a million fans will already have witnessed the tour.

The three-year tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021.
