Google Confirms No Pixel Watch This Year

Samsung is trolling Google over the notch on its new Pixel phone

The Pixel 3 XL also has a sizable display notch.

That said, Google has one-upped Apple with its cloud storage, at least when it comes to your pictures: Google offers unlimited storage in Google Photos, while Apple makes you pay for iCloud storage if you want more than 5 GB.

While we're glad the Pixel 3 doesn't have a matching notch, the big bezels definitely make it look dated, but there's more to a phone than its looks. Both the devices offer users the option to go with 64GB of internal storage or 128GB which should be sufficient for most of the users as the device doesn't offer the feature of expandability.

We don't know how Google is going to react to this Tweet from Samsung, but what we can be sure about is the fact that Google needs to rethink the way it designs its devices.

But the Pixel 3 currently has a leg up on the iPhone XR: you can pre-order it now, and it will start shipping October 18.

Google's new Pixel Stand is, first and foremost, a wireless charger and a good one at that.

The Pixel 3 XL, on the other hand, comes across with a 6.3-inch display and has a weight rating of 181 grams while the iPhone Max is the biggest and heaviest of the lot here with a 6.5-inch panel and a weight of 208 grams. The usual caveat here applies, however: more RAM does not necessarily equal a faster phone.

Connectivity options are also the same in both the phones. So if you own a pair of Bose QC35 IIs, Sony WH-H900N, or any of the other Assistant-powered headphones, you can try to see if Google's real-time translations are working for you.

It literally just released a phone this week with four cameras on the back.

The iPhone XR is slightly cheaper than the Pixel 3: it starts at $US749, while the Pixel 3 starts at $US799. One of the key reasons for this is that the Pixel doesn't just rely on optics hardware, but also uses advanced software in the custom Pixel Camera app to capture great images.

According to Isaac Reynolds, who is the product manager for the camera on Pixel as well as Marc Levoy, who is photography lead at Google has given some details about the camera and its mechanisms.

Two front-facing cameras are present on the pair - a standard lens is joined by a wide-angle sensor that can fit more people into selfies.

You can get last years Pixel 2 XL for $549 after 24 months of $12.50 credits.

The camera, for instance, promises better low-light and close-up shots by using artificial-intelligence software to combine multiple shots taken in succession. In another apparent nod to privacy concerns, Google didn't put a camera on its Home Hub like Amazon and Facebook did with their respective devices to enable video calls.
