Freshman Romeo Langford answers a question on how he's enjoying being on campus so far during IU media day on September 26.

If Michigan (5-1, 3-0) is going to compete for a Big Ten title it can't afford to lose to Wisconsin (4-1, 2-0) with games yet to come against division counterparts Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn State.

IL is picked to finish 13th in the 14-team league, according to a poll conducted by media members, including The News-Gazette's Scott Richey, that was released on Wednesday, one day before the conference's annual media day event in Chicago on Thursday.

Indiana's Romeo Langford was voted the unanimous preseason freshman of the year.

Langford was the only freshman this season to receive the honor. Making the preseason All-Big Ten team is a good start and it shows that he's already on people's radars.

Coming off an All-America sophomore season, Purdue's Carsen Edwards has been named the Big Ten's preseason Player-of-the-Year, the league announced Thursday morning in advance of its media day at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. The remaining first-team All-Big Ten selections include Wisconsin's Ethan Happ, Nebraska's James Palmer Jr., Michigan State's Cassius Winston and Indiana's Juwan Morgan.
