In the dance-off against Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova, Susannah and her partner Anton Du Beke danced their Foxtrot to They Can't Take That Away From Me by Frank Sinatra.

So has the Strictly veteran quit the show for good?

Du Beke has always been paired with poorly performing celebrity contestants, and this has prompted rumours to swirl on Monday that he's set to "quit" the popular series after an incredible 14 years on the show.

Susannah, who lives on the outskirts of Handcross, left the show after facing a dance off with professional partner Anton Du Beke when Susannah scored the lowest marks in the BBC dance contest for the second week running.

'He was lucky previous year, getting Ruth Langsford, as the public love her and she is popular.

"My loves, some people are reporting I'm quitting the show". He even claims he is 'NEVER quitting'. Love you all and love #BBCStrictly'.

"You get maybe four, maybe five days to get a routine up and going, and what overwhelms you is the nerves, it's them that really debilitate you, the fear of going wrong, the fear of messing up, ironically".

A "Strictly" spokesperson added: "We never comment on contractual matters but Anton will be kept very busy for the rest of the series in our group performances". It's time to hang up his dance shoes'.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 6.30pm on BBC One.

"But what I thought about Susannah is that she was really interesting and lovely and that we'd have a great time and hopefully something might come out of it, dance-wise".

Susannah also made an early exit when she was a contestant on the TV programme I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. He has never won the show, but has never before been in the first couple to leave either - and now fans want him to be given "someone who has more potential" next year.
