The Sydney-sider was dispatched by the impressive Zverev 6-1 6-4 on Thursday, with the German to face Kyle Edmund in the quarterfinals.

Zverev said that Basilashvili, who is up to a career-high ranking of 23, "knows how to play, definitely". Lendl flew back to the United States to have wrist surgery, which Zverev said was caused by playing too much golf.
