Only about 900,099 words have been written so far this week about Seann Walsh, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing who was photographed kissing his married dance partner, then was swiftly dumped like a flytipper's fridge by his long-term girlfriend.

Addressing the pictures of Seann and Katya kissing after leaving a London pub last Wednesday, Rebecca explained she has suspected something "inappropriate" was going on that night.

Walsh's estranged girlfriend, the actress Rebecca Humphries, subsequently took to Twitter to say she has not received apologies from Walsh or Jones and alleged that Walsh gaslighted her when she voiced her suspicions about his relationship with Jones.

Walsh and Jones, who is married, have now addressed the fallout during an appearance on BBC Two's Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two.

The pair, who were pictured cheating on their respective partners Rebecca Humphries and Strictly dancer Neil Jones, were reportedly facing the axe as bosses weighed up what to do in light of the backlash.

She starts, "it's incredible good of Sean (n) and Katya to apologise to the media".

She continued: "Those pictures were taken on October 3rd". I have received nothing. other than the support of my family, friends, and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was OK.

"We were getting on well, we were having fun". This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for'.

"We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on".

Humphries Tweeted a statement yesterday that she had thought something was going on but Walsh had called her a "psycho" for saying so.

'Seann Walsh responds to @Beckshumps statement saying: "I feel it is important for me to say that the people that know and love me know I'm not the person I'm being portrayed as". It's more than lying, it's controlling.

I'm so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions.

Seann, 32, previously told The Sun: "When I was at school, my favourite film was American Pie and my favourite character was Stifler".

She also accused him of being "controlling" and told women who might be in a similar position: "Those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and their need for control comes from a place of vulnerability".

Katya added: "Obviously I apologise, and I can't apologise enough to everyone who it hurt and involved. I'm still sorry for what I did, but it's very important for me to get that out there".
