Wally Roasts Aaron Judge’s ‘New York, New York’ Stunt After Red Sox Clinch ALDS
Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Wednesday afternoon that the left-hander will start Sunday night against the Astros, and as expected, Chris Sale will start Game 1.
Following the Yankees' win in Game 2 at Fenway Park in Boston, Judge played the Sinatra tune from a boombox while walking past the Red Sox.
NY found itself in a 4-0 hole during a win-or-go-home Game 4 in Yankee Stadium, and despite coming close to a dramatic ninth inning comeback, the Red Sox sealed their ALDS tilt with a 4-3 victory. Price surrendered three runs off three hits (including two homers) in just 1.2 innings of work in the 6-2 Boston loss.
In the ALDS, Cora was asked why people should believe Price can mentally handle the postseason.
"The way [Price] pitched against [the Astros] this year, he matches up real well against them", Cora said.
I'm sure just about every pitcher uses some kind of substance to help them grip the baseball, which is a good thing since, you know, they are throwing over 95 miles per hour and it'd be a good thing if they have control of it. "He's ready to roll which is very important for us". Major League Baseball needs to do something about Angel.
