Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Mean Tweets’ is back and Nickelback faced up to the haters
Gwen Stefani and Miley Cyrus have responded to mean Twitter messages as part of a humorous TV segment.
Fortunately, Chad Kroeger and company have been good sports over the years about dealing with their haters, which they proved again in a music-focused "Mean Tweets" segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.
One user hated Korn "more than Nickelback", so then Kimmel turned to a tweet about Nickelback that read, "I would rather stab myself in the taint than hear another Nickelback song".
Several took the tweets to heart, like Gwen Stefani, who read, "Gwen Stefani really is the worst thing to ever happen". Ouch. The singer replied, "Thank you!" while crossing her eyes.
And Pink couldn't stop herself from laughing, after reading, "P!nk is ageing pretty well for a pig".
Tyga, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Jason Mraz and Jason Derulo also faced the social media music, falling victim to some sharp-tongued tweets.
After reading the scathing post: "I would rather stab myself in the taint than hear another Nickelback song", frontman Chad Kroeger replied: "That's amusing, that's how we make Nickelback songs".
"G-Eazy is like the American cheese of cheese. Or some other s-ty thing", the rapper read out.
