"That's how mature they are", the Los Angeles Lakers star and wine connoisseur said after practice Tuesday, per USA Today and CBS Sports. "They'll be driving next week, too".

Kevin Love was asked what he would say to a prospective superstar free agent who had interest in becoming teammates with LeBron James.

"Put it on me, though, don't put it on mom", he added. Don't put it on mom (Savannah). "Put it on dad, put it on dad".

"You know, everything that they (James' Lakers teammates) listen to or are watching these days, my 14-year-old and my 11-year-old are watching as well", James said.

LeBron has documented his taste for wine on his Instagram account, where he sometimes shares photos of the bottles he enjoys.

The 33-year-old National Basketball Association superstar, in his first season with the Lakers, had been asked if he had picked up greater awareness of "pop culture" from his youthful new teammates. "You have to learn a lot about that", Love told ESPN.

For example, in California, children under the age of 21 are allowed to drink very small amounts of alcohol during religious ceremonies.

However, despite U.S. law prohibiting drinking under the age of 21, Savannah and LeBron are certainly not the only parents who allow their children to have the occasional sip of wine.

Researchers from Penn State University and University College London announced in 2017 (via The Guardian) that a study of 10,000 British children born at the turn of the millennium found that, by age 14, half of them said they had tried more than a few sips of alcohol, compared to one in seven three years earlier.
