Trump rejects the report that he used the word.

In a tweet, President Trump said his wife has been well received on the continent and Africans love her. The people love her, and she loves them!

The Be Best campaign, which addresses the social well-being of children, was rolled out this year.

"I wanted to be here to see the successful programs that (the) United States is providing the children and thank you for everything you've done", the first lady said at a book donation ceremony in the school library. "It is a attractive thing to see", Trump tweeted.

Melania Trump's visit, which started in Ghana and will continue on to Kenya and Egypt, has so far attracted varied interest levels in Africa with few crowds lining streets to see her.

"It was very exciting".

While the first lady highlighted USAID's work in Africa, the Trump administration has been trying to cut the agency's funding.

The US First Lady will then visit the US Embassy in Nairobi wrapping up the only closed-door engagements on her Kenyan visit. "I know she's moved by what the United States is doing in Malawi", US Ambassador Virginia Palmer told reporters.

The U.S. first lady was joyously welcomed at the airport, with singing and dancing by a troupe of women and scores of schoolchildren waving African and Malawian flags. She toured a castle that housed slaves awaiting transport across the Atlantic. The first lady landed in the capital of Lilongwe on Thursday morning after a six-hour flight from Ghana.
