A MI pizza shop employee was arrested after a video shared on social media Saturday showed him appearing to spit into customers' food.

Quinelle May, a coworker who uploaded the disturbing footage, claimed in the video's comments that Kerley spat in the food because the "supervisor kept yelling at him all day".

He then continues prepping the baked treat - before apparently serving it up to an unsuspecting customer at Comerica Park ballpark in Downtown Detroit.

The disturbing video that shows a man identified as Jaylon Kerley shooting a massive string of saliva at the pizza before mixing it in with the sauce went viral on social media over the weekend. They said that May was sent home Friday before they knew of the video.

"The customers don't deserve this!" He shared the video and said, "his is disgusting!"

Detroit Sportservice, which provides food service at the ballpark, said in a statement that it "immediately closed that food stand and disposed of all the product".

Kerley was said to be scheduled for an arraignment on unspecified charges Monday morning.

Local news station WXYZ showed the clip to people visiting Comerica Park - with several recoiling in horror on seeing what Kerley allegedly did. "Food safety is our top priority and we will take any appropriate action necessary to protect our guests", Detroit Sportservice said.

And others warned such behavior is likely to be far more common than most diners realize.
