Good Omens God McDormand

The six-part television adaptation by BBC Studios of the best-selling novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is now in production in the United Kingdom and South Africa to launch globally on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, before also being shown in the United Kingdom on BBC Two at a later date.

It was also confirmed at the panel that Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress Frances McDormand will lend her voice to the series as "the voice of God". Gaiman wrote the six-part series and serves as showrunner. We still have to wait a bit until given a Good Omens trailer, but since it is Comic Con weekend, Amazon was kind enough to release a lil' vignette to tide us over. McDormand will be joining an iconic trio of gentlemen for the show, who are, in no particular order: David Tennant's demon Crowley, Michael Sheen's angel Aziraphale, and Jon Hamm's archangel Gabriel. As such a fussy Angel and a loose-living Demon who've become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. The cast also includes Hamm, Jack Whitehall, Michael McKean, Adria Arjona, Nina Sosanya, Ned Dennehy, Ariyon Bakare, Mark Gatiss, Derek Jacobi, Nick Offerman and Miranda Richardson. Alas, they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he's meant to bring upon the end of days, and that forces them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it's too late.
