Extinction Trailer Michael Peña Has Visions of Alien Invasion

When his unwanted nightmares begin to affect his relationship with his family, he soon realizes they may be the key to a terrible reality, as a relentless alien attack begins to destroy the Earth. However as Craig told us in February, Netflix then purchased the rights to the movie from Universal - much like they did with The Cloverfield Paradox and Annihilation (both from Paramount).

After winning a lot of hearts as the fast-talking sidekick Luis in Marvel's Ant-Man franchise, Michael Peña is moving from the comedic role into a brooding family man, Peter, who has a recurring dream about a threat to his wife and children. His nightmare turns into reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Something that everybody would be wholly unprepared for, except not everybody has received visions of the future. Now, fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep them safe from harm. This feature story involves an alien invasion that arrives after a father starts having nightmares predicting their attack.

Joining Peña are Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex) and Mike Colter (Luke Cage).

Extinction bows on Netflix on July 27.
