All signs point to Samsung working on a major update to the Galaxy Note 9's S Pen. Also, the fact that Ice Universe, a well-known Samsung leaker, posted it on Twitter is one more reason to trust it. But unlike the previous leaks, the latest revelation shows the next-generation Galaxy Note in a close-up view that confirms the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack. Either the image is fake, or Samsung has managed to remarkably fit all these features inside the current S-Pen's chassis or that all the rumors for an upgrade are false.

The design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 have been through multiple leaks. The design changes for the stylus don't appear to be as substantial as they are for the Galaxy Tab S4's S Pen but it does look more angular than the Galaxy Note 8's S Pen.

Samsung is set and confirmed to announce the next-gen Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.

Finally, the rear panel is made of glass that curves at the edges, no real surprises there, and the color seems to be some sort of purple or blue.

The good news is that it looks like Samsung will be shifting the position of its fingerprint scanner that was terribly placed alongside the cameras on the Note 8, to below the camera block on the Note 9. The device is also expected to feature dual rear cameras and 4,000mAh battery.

So far we've seen from the official teaser video that the one of the Galaxy Note 9 models will come with a yellow/gold S-Pen, while regulatory filings supposedly revealed a number of colours the phone may come in. We can expect to see additional leaks concerning the new flagship until then.
