Ukraine worldwide Yarmolenko arrives at London Stadium for an undisclosed fee, reported to be £17.5 million (A$31.38 million), and has signed a four-year contract.

The Hammers have bolstered their squad with the additions of Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop already this summer.

And he was clearly delighted to wrap up the move, saying: "Of course, I am very happy to sign for West Ham United".

Goal understands West Ham have tabled a club-record £40 million (€45m/$52m) bid for the versatile attacking midfielder, and remain in talks with the Serie A club.

Sullivan says the Hammers will keep spending to provide new manager Manuel Pellegrini with the players he wants.

"As a board, we assured our supporters that we would be looking to bring in high-calibre players, and Jack [Wilshere] and Andriy [Yarmolenko] fit that bill perfectly".

"The Premier League is the best league in the world and I know that an interesting project is being built here at West Ham", said Yarmolenko.

"Both of them have played at the highest level and we look forward to seeing that quality on show on a regular basis in the Claret & Blue". He also vowed to make the West Ham supporters happy.

Director of Football Mario Husillos believes the capture of Yarmolenko illustrates West Ham's ambition to challenge the best.
