George Clooney hospitalized after car accident in Sardinia reports

The actor George Clooney has reportedly been hospitalised after he was involved in an accident while riding a motorbike in Sardinia.

The 57-year-old was travelling to the set of his new TV show Catch 22 in Costa Corallina when a vehicle turned and struck him.

The paper also tweeted a photo of his scooter abandoned by the side of the road with a Mercedes estate vehicle just feet away.

Hollywood star George Clooney has been injured in a collision involving his scooter and a auto.

The John Paul II hospital in Olbia said Clooney was released Tuesday.

A picture from La Nuova suggests that Clooney hit a auto while on the motorway.

Mr Clooney has been in Sardinia for several weeks for filming of a six-part series based on Heller's 1961 novel about the USAAF during the Second World War.

George and Amal were seen arrive in the island on a private jet at the end of June with their twins Alexander and Ella.

Sardinia is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea and is over 500 miles from Clooney's villa in Lake Como.

It was from that moment George made it his mission to land Amal, later taking her on their first date at a plush London restaurant.
