Police Make Arrest In XXXTentacion Murder

BSO confirms that just after 7 last night, deputies arrested 22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams in connection with the rapper's death.

XXXTentacion, 20, was killed in his vehicle as he left an upscale motor sports dealership on Monday Afternoon.

Rapper XXXTentacion was shot and killed during an apparent robbery Monday in Broward County, Florida, police said.

Onfroy's attorney, David Bogenschutz, told investigators that prior to the shooting, the rapper visited a bank to withdraw cash.

According to the Associated Press, Williams, 22, remains in Broward County jail, held without bail. When he was arrested and booked for a murder charge, he was also hit with a probation violation for his previous grand theft auto charge.

In a release on Wednesday, the CCSO said that an address had been widely circulated on social media after the death of Onfroy.

The mother of slain South Florida rapper XXXTentacion has announced that he "left us a final gift" - possibly a child, according to her Instagram page.

The local tattoo artist was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Onfroy was shot and killed Monday night outside the motorcycle shop at 3671 N. Dixie Hwy.in Pompano Beach while he was seated behind the wheel of a $150,000 BMW I8 sports vehicle.

On Thursday, it remained unclear if XXXTentacion's killing was related to his popularity, or if he was shot dead in a ripoff gone bad. It was not immediately clear if police were looking for a second suspect. "I was glad I didn't stay next to him because there was all that 4-wheeler noise going on down there".

He also was photographed alongside Koly P, a well-known Broward-based rapper who has worked with Kodak Black and performed with XXXTentacion. "To see my message and use it and turn it into something positive".
