Man Utd transfer news Jose Mourinho joins Chelsea by targeting PSG star Edinson Cavani
Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea may be on alert regarding Nabil Fekir, as reported by The Sun, but the Lyon star's agent's latest comments - as reported by Metro - suggest that the France global could still end up at Liverpool.
The 24-year-old revealed he recently met Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas but did not discuss his club future.
Metro quotes Fekir's agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, as saying about a potential move to Liverpool: "Um he didn't sign because um... it is not over!"
"Well he didn't sign because well... it is not over!" he told LCI. The story isn't over yet.
A £53m deal looked to be on the cards and Fekir is believed to have even done his interview with LiverpoolTV before the proposed move sensationally collapsed at the last minute with TeamTalk claiming that Liverpool's medical staff had concerns over the players knee injury - which required surgery in March.
Lyon had released a statement earlier this month claiming they have ended all negotiations with Liverpool, however it remains to be seen whether a deal will be completed after the conclusion of the World Cup in Russian Federation, where Fekir is part of France's squad.
"And Lyon have chose to put an end to the negotiations tonight at 8 p.m".
Fekir was one of the most prolific playmakers in Europe last season having provided 23 goals and 8 assists in all competitions for Lyon to earn a place in the French World Cup squad this summer.
