Ubisoft has announced at their E3 2018 press conference that Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be debuting to the Nintendo Switch, the publisher also showcased a short trailer. "Starlink is a project born from the passion of our collective team, and the opportunity to work directly with Nintendo to bring Star Fox to our universe is a dream come true". Switch users can play as Fox in the campaign, and there's even exclusive Switch add-on content that's designed specifically around the Nintendo hero. Equip your model with different parts and your Starship changes in game in real time.

Your pilots have unique abilities that you can use in order to gain an advantage in battle.

As you progress you collect new ships and pilots. You can check out the game's E3 trailer below along with the one featuring Star Fox. "We wanted to combine our love for collectibles with an epic, open-world space adventure to create a brand new experience for audiences of all ages", shared Matt Rose, producer, Ubisoft.

The partnership between Ubisoft and Nintendo on Starlink has some precedence.

"Starlink" is Ubisoft's foray into the "toys-to-life" market, and will involve players building and customizing toy starships that mount directly to standard gamepads for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
