The all-new, live-action adventure expands on the beloved classic story where, as Disney puts it, "differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight".

However, Dumbo will not be having Depp in the lead; instead the movie will star Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Alan Arkin.

Technically, Burton " s film picks up where the 1941 original left off.

Dumbo is directed by Tim Burton, who previously helmed the hugely successful Alice in Wonderland for Disney, as well as classics such as Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, and the 1989 Batman. There, they bond with the circus's newest addition, a shy young elephant named Dumbo.

Directed by Tim Burton, whose previous work with Disney includes The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie, Dumbo is about a sad circus elephant who gets picked on for having very big ears; also, his only friend is a mouse, he gets drunk and sees terrifying pink elephants, and Mama Dumbo sings maybe the saddest song in the Disney canon to her son, "Baby Mine". But Dumbo has a unique ability that soon garners the attention of the greedy entrepreneur - and obvious P.T. Barnum stand-in - V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton).

"Dumbo" flies into theaters on March 29, 2019. "Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe".

After finding fame at the circus, Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist in a new entertainment venture called Dreamland, according to the Disney Movie Trailer YouTube page.
