Griezmann has a choice over whether he will remain with Atletico Madrid, who are desperate to keep him, or make the switch to La Liga rivals Barcelona in a €100m transfer.

Both clubs announced a "preliminary agreement" on a transfer, with Atletico saying the clubs will work together to complete the details.

The France global, now in Russian Federation with Les Bleus for the World Cup, joined Monaco in 2015 from Caen and made his worldwide debut in November 2016. The future of Antoine Griezmann is still a mystery after the French frontman didn't respond to demands from the media to reveal his decision on where he'll be playing his club football next season.

But instead Griezmann wanted only to talk about his and France's preparations for their opening game of the World Cup against Australia on Saturday.

Yesterday, the 27-year-old said that he has already made up his mind regarding next season but refused to elaborate further on that statement.

While Manchester United have been linked with Griezmann previously, Deschamps said the forward was staying in Spain.

His refusal to answer questions on Tuesday means links with Barcelona are sure to continue until any formal announcement is made by either club.

Lemar broke through in the 2016-17 campaign, scoring 14 goals and adding 17 assists as Monaco won Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

Lemar, 22, has become a regular fixture in the France national team squad since making his global debut in 2016.
