The Trailer For The Suspiria Remake Is Here

Suspiria will officially debut in theaters on November 2.

If you expected Luca Guadagnino to follow up Call Me By Your Name (call me! call me!) with another sun-dappled aching romantic drama, think again. The teaser trailer, unveiled Monday, indicates that at least one of the dancers has gone missing and concludes with shot of an ominous metal hook on a table.

The first trailer for the remake of the 1977 cult horror movie Suspiria has been shared online, featuring new music from Radiohead's Thom Yorke.

The first glimpse into the remake features menacing glares from stars Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson and absolutely non of the gore and gut-wrenching body horror the film is expected to entail.

The original "Suspiria" told a grizzly tale of a dancer uncovering a supernatural conspiracy surrounding a series of vicious murders at a prestigious dance academy in Berlin. Here's the official synopsis: As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renowned dance company, its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare. Jessica Harper, who played the lead in Dario Argento's 1977 film, also appears.

In an interview with The Guardian a year ago, Guadagnino described his remake as "a homage to the incredible, powerful emotion I felt when I saw it [Argento's film]".
