Since the game's official release a year ago, there haven't been many words on the progress of the game. They're a very hard decision to make, but they should mean consumers receive a better game when it does eventually release, and with Metro Exodus looking so promising? The game was first revealed back at E3 2017 during Microsoft's press conference and was originally going to come out sometime this year.

Metro Exodus is due to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Post-apocalyptic horror sequel Metro Exodus has been delayed until the first quarter of 2019, publisher THQ Nordic has announced.

Here's hoping that they'll have something exciting to show us to ease the pain from having to wait a few more months for Metro: Exodus. Not a blockbuster will be able to compete with new Games, so publishers have two: either to catch up to the release of a Western, either to escape to another time period.

The Metro games are based on a series of novels published by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war over 20 years ago in 2013 and the story continues from Metro: Last Light's "Redemption" ending.

If you're experiencing any déjà vu at the news it's probably because S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was already announced back in 2010, but GSC Game World went bust before they had time to finish it. It, however, did say that both the games are "still under evaluation for setting a release date". "I'm also happy to inform that Deep Silver will be publishing the upcoming RPG's Wasteland 3 and Bards Tale IV".
