Is Netflix releasing content too quickly? While the algorithm remains and is strengthened every time you click on something to watch, what you are actually choosing is changing and it's not because of your tastes, but because Netflix is adding more of its original content to its archive and spending lots on it. It spends billions of dollars annually on original content and the company's content chief has now said that 85 percent of Netflix's new spending will now be on original shows and movies.

"Some subscribers are wiling to absorb materially higher pricing than what they are paying now", Olson said, "We found that a higher percentage of subscribers are willing to pay a higher monthly fee, suggesting Netflix content has improved in such a way that there is increased value to the subscriber base versus two years ago". Whether it's Marvel TV shows, stand up comedy, talk shows, or films of varying quality. According to a report from the entertainment industry publication Variety, Sarandos said that by the end of 2018, Netflix will have close to 1,000 of its own original series and movies on its streaming service, and 470 of those are set to premiere through the rest of the year. You have to keep that subscription revenue coming in, and the best way to do that is make sure there's plenty of things for subscribers to watch - and that there always will be.

"The creators we're talking to, they watch Netflix and they want to be on our network", Ted said, Via NY Post.

"The way we can secure those shows is having a great reputation with talent, having a brand people want to be associated with, and a good track record of delivering".

That's pretty incredible considering there are roughly 500 Netflix original shows and movies on the streaming service now.

Netflix, he added, will provide content that is cinema infused with television. Disney is ending its movie partnership with Netflix in 2019.

"I don't know what took them so long."
