Former internationals Emmanuel Babayaro and Nduka Ugbade are satisfied with Nigeria's 30-man provisional list for the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation.

Football fan Fred Oboh is delighted with the inclusion of domestic league top scorer Lokosa, though he's lost over the exclusion of Malaga striker Brown Ideye.

Nwankwo plays as a forward for the Italian Serie A club, Crotone and scored seven goals in the season just ended.

There is only one South African-based player in the squad as Chippa United's Daniel Akpeyi was named as one of the four goalkeepers.

Others who made the list are Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Elderson Echiejile, Bryan Idowu, Shehu Abdullahi, Ola Aina, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Uche Agbo, Stephen Eze, Tyronne Ebuehi, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem, Oghenekaro Etebo and Joel Obi.

Nigeria begin their 2018 Fifa World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium before facing Iceland (June 22) and Argentina (June 26) in Volgograd and Saint Petersburg respectively.

Continuous calls positioned the 35-year-old Lille's goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, in the shortlist for the World Cup, however, Rohr, arguing that he is more interested in building for the future than retracting his footsteps, made a decision to omit him.
