Patriots 2018 Schedule Rumors: Week 1 Vs. Texans, No Thanksgiving Game

The only stretch that may come close is right before the bye week when the Patriots play at Buffalo on a Monday night in Week 8, have a short week the next week to host the Packers on Sunday Night Football, and then a road game in Tennessee to close out the first half of the schedule before the bye. After that, it's a trip to Detroit to battle Matt Patricia's Lions in a prime-time game on Sunday night. This season the schedule maker has been more wary. That game will be broadcast on NFL Network and FOX.

Sun., Dec. 9 at Miami Dolphins 1 p.m. It marks the third consecutive year the Dolphins have played the Titans with each team winning one of those the past two seasons.

New England Patriots schedule news is starting to leak out courtesy of 98.5 The Sports Hub's Marc Bertrand.

The Dolphins are playing the NFC North this year. They then travel to Chicago in Week 7. Green Bay, 8:20 p.m. Then comes the first AFC East game of the year in Week 4 when Miami comes to town. After that, they welcome the Jets in, in Week 12, before traveling to Minnesota in Week 13. Both games are at 1 p.m. This is good because all the New York-New Jersey area Dolphins fans won't have to bundle up for the now annual MetLife takeover in which they buy out signficant portions of the stadium.

But the Dolphins won't be able to wilt the Jets either with an early-season hot weather game.

- The Patriots will open their season with an afternoon game against the Houston Texans.

According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the Dolphins will travel to Foxboro to play the Patriots in Week 4 on September 30.

Sun., Oct. 14 Kansas City 8:20 p.m.

Week 5: October 4 vs. Indianapolis, 8:20 p.m.

Week 10: November 11 at Tennessee, 1 p.m.
