The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad (UPMSP) will declare the results of its Class 10 and Class 12 annual examinations results on April 29, 2018. As per latest reports, the UP Board Result 2018 for Class 10 and Class 12 will be out simultaneously on 29 April, 2018.

About 75% of the almost 11 lakh students who skipped this year's Uttar Pradesh board examinations were from neighbouring states, and some of them were even from foreign countries like Nepal and Bangladesh, Sharma said.

Considering the a huge number of students, who flock to the official websites i.e., www.upresults.nic.in and upmsp.nic.in; these portals are prone to technical glitches and problems while checking the UP Board Result 2018.

It was for the first time that the results, which usually are declared in May, are being declared in April.

This year, 36,55,691 students appeared for UP Board Class 10 Exams 2018 conducted between 6 February and 22 February, 2018.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said, "About 75 per cent of the almost 11 lakh students who skipped this year's board examinations were from neighbouring states, and some of them were even from foreign countries like Nepal and Bangladesh". "The new academic session will start on April 16 and by July, the new education calendar will be issued", Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was quoted by a leading daily.

A student has to obtain a minimum of 35 per cent in the examination in order to be declared pass. Compartment examinations will be conducted for those who fail in any of the subject. Over 11 lakh of 66 lakh students had either opted out or had left the two exams midway following several strict measures taken by the Yogi Adityanath government to check mass copying.
