Mahesh Babu sees films as a medium to promote social responsibility

Films are not releasing or being shot and growth has stopped all of a sudden in one of the biggest film industry of the world. Also, Mahesh's previous outing with director Koratala Siva, Srimanthudu, was well received at the box office, thus upping the expectations around Bharat Ane Nenu. So while Rajinikanth's film got postponed indefinitely, Mahesh Babu Bharat Ane Nenu found a release date on April 20.

Many theatre owners around the world opened the advance booking for Bharat Ane Nenu nearly a week ahead of its release. Mahesh Babu who is on a vacation with his family will be participating in the film's promotions from 18th April. Mahesh plays a chief minister in the film, which is directed by Kortala Siva. The film had become the third highest grossing Telugu film of all time upon its release.

Originally slated to release on April 27, the makers recently advanced the release to April 20 to avoid clash with superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala, which is slated to hit the screens on April 27. The film will have debates in the State Assembly. The music of the film are already ruling the charts.

Talking about the film earlier, Mahesh said this film will be a milestone in his career. I just want to tell good stories. I think this is my finest performance ever. Penned by Srihari Nanu, the film features Kiara Advani as the heroine along with seasoned actors Prakashraj, Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Rama Prabhu and Sitara in pivotal roles.
