Hawkins feels the trans community within the OR area has been rejected by the online dating service and is suing for discrimination. Hawkins claims that the popular dating application has rejected transgender individuals from successfully setting up a dating profile and meeting local singles.

TMZ obtained the suit filed by Ariel Hawkins, who said that Tinder deleted her account once she revealed in her profile that she was a pre-op trans woman. "She says the company sent her email saying she violated its terms of service ... but didn't point her to any term and refused to explain the basis for the rejection".

"I don't think the company understands trans people and they don't appreciate how we may represent ourselves", she told TMZ.

The Oregon resident now believes that Tinder is trying to remove trans people from their app altogether.

Hawkins then accused Tinder of refusing "to provide transgender individuals full and equal access to its app".

In the lawsuit, filed by Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas, Hawkins is asking a judge for an order prohibiting Tinder from discriminating against non-cisgender OR users.

The lawsuit plainly asks a judge to legally prohibit Tinder from discriminating against non-cis OR users.
