LG G7 to not debut until May and will see a bump in price: Report

ETNews today reports that LG is planning to launch the "LG G7" sometime this May.

LG's plans for the flagship market are mostly unknown at the moment.

The South Korean publication also claims that LG will keep its G and V series of handsets at least until 2019. Apparently, an event could unveil the phone as early as late April with sales of the phone starting late in May.

The report doesn't confirm any specific new details, but the rumor mill has pointed to the G7 using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood and the handset boasting a pair of 16MP cameras on the back. To recall, during their launch, the LG G6+ was priced by the company at KRW 957,000 (roughly Rs. 58,300) while the LG G6 32GB storage variant was made available at KRW 819,500 (roughly Rs. 49,900).

Rumors also suggest an LG G7 Pro might launch at some point in the future, too, which would feature significant bumps in both built-in storage and RAM when compared to the standard G7 model. Additionally, the LG G7 is said to sport a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1440×3120 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and 900 ppi.
