Originally funded via Indiegogo, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn finally has a release window, alongside some additional information about its release.

In Shaq Fu, players take control of the unstoppable Shaquille O'Neal as he fights his way through the hordes of Hell and Hollywood.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will be available globally as a physical retail and digital release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC in spring 2018, with Wired Productions on publishing duties. Developer Saber Interactive has teamed up with publisher Wired Productions to unleash this unlikely sequel.

"Master devastating combos, battle outlandish celebrity bosses and take on all comers with an array of weapons, including katanas, shuriken, and baseball bats", Saber detailed in a press release sent to GamesBeat.

Back in early 2014, I dimly remember writing about a sequel to '90s cult classic Shaq Fu being successfully crowdfunded, thanks to some guy pledging $4k to have lunch and a game of basketball at Shaq's house.

Power ups with every nickname Shaq has ever had from Big Daddy O to Big Diesel.

As an added bonus, anyone who happened to purchase a copy of NBA Playgrounds for Switch prior to June 10th, 2017 will receive a free copy of of the game on Switch.
