Two dead, Detroit police officer shot

Authorities say the officer was shot in the knee Sunday night while responding to an incident on the east side of the city. The gunman reportedly told police he "won't go down without a fight".

The officer was hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition.

The scene is now blocked off in a large area near E. Outer Drive and Ryan.

Police believe the gunman is also responsible for killing two women and causing non-life threatening injuries to a man.

Police are also dealing with a second shooter. Police said there is a suspect barricaded inside the home.
