In a shocking response to terror attacks, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said 'dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end the bloodshed.

"A dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end the bloodshed". The people of Jammu and Kashmir are suffering.

In a tweet, Mehbooba also stressed that she would be labelled an "anti-national" by the news channels for calling dialogue between India and Pakistan. "We have to talk because war is not an option", Mehbooba added.

In recent developments, one CRPF personnel lost his life in the ongoing encounter at the 23 Bn CRPF camp in Srinagar's Karan Nagar, where two armed-terrorists were spotted in the wee hours of Monday.

Later in the day, Mehbooba while speaking in the state Assembly, hit out at some media houses for labelling those favouring dialogues with Pakistan as "anti-nationals". "War is no option for us", she said. "Wonder what some media houses would have called Atalji if he took bus to Lahore in today's time&talked of dialogue", she added, as reported by ANI.
