DCW rescues 14-year –old girl from Model Town area of Delhi

The victim - a 14-year-old girl - was rescued by the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) after it received a call that the doctor, who lives in northwest Delhi's Model Town, had confined the teen in the house and had been mistreating her.

The child's medical exaination reportedly revealed several injury marks on her body. The doctor has been arrested and the girl, in accordance with the orders of the Child Welfare Committee, will be kept in a children's home.

The girl belongs to Jharkhand and prima facie it looks like a case of child trafficking. Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Jaihind shared shocking details of the case on Twitter. "The lady doctor burnt her with hot iron, threw hot water on her, bit and spitted on her face and even attacked her eyes with a scissors", the DCW chief tweeted further. We rescued the 14-year-old Jharkhandi domestic maid from Model Town. The girl was allegedly burnt, beaten and also bitten by her employer. Can't describe her condition. Most evil!" He went on to tweet that the "Little girl was so fearless. "Little girl was confined 2 house, not given sweater, food & hs been reduced 2 bones (sic)", she said in another tweet. "Should be given maximum punishment!", Jaihind said.
