United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is open to sending the England Under-21 global out on loan this month.

The 20-year-old centre-half is a former victor of the club's young player of the year award and has broken through under the Portuguese and has been training with the Red Devils' first-team squad.

That is because the player has been out with injury and fitness problems for a couple of weeks now.

Villa boss Bruce was asked about potential transfers ahead of this weekend's clash against Nottingham Forest and admitted that the loan market was something that the Midlands club wanted to use.

And a truly exciting challenge awaits him in Birmingham: Villa are just five points off an automatic promotion spot and will, no doubt, need to call on Tuanzebe's defensive discipline and guile on the ball at points throughout the season.

"With the financial situation at the club, we're not in a position to spend millions".

"If we have to make a decision, we are going to make it at the end of the month".

"He's a player we like very much".

"Josh Onomah is another one. We're particularly close on one - let's hope it can happen". Until you get them over the line, then I can't really reveal.

Mourinho told The Manchester Evening News: "Tuanzebe's a very good player that is not having lots of possibilities to play here".

"But he's our player and will be our player, no chance we give up on such a talented boy but is something we are thinking about a loan until the end of the season".

Jose Mourinho admits injuries to his Manchester United squad will determine whether the club allow Axel Tuanzebe to leave on loan during the January transfer window.
