Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's convoy attacked in Nandar Buxar

Angry villagers on Friday attacked the cavalcade of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar with bricks and stones, alleging that the state administration was carrying out only "selective development".

The attackers pelted stones on the vehicles in the Kumar's convoy. Chief Minister was rescued from the attack safely. Although the chief minister escaped unhurt, some of his security men sustained serious injuries.

However, Nitish Kumar was whisked out of the spot by his security personnel in time. The villagers also raised anti-government slogans.

The chief minister has been touring the state since December 12, 2017, to monitor the government's development schemes. Reports claimed that many villagers were anguished after the proposed seven development works did take place in the area.

Later, Mr. Kumar said at a public meeting, "People should not get perturbed over such minor happenings". "Dissent lends beauty to democracy", the JDU chief had said in Saharsa.
