In 2014, American Dad!'s FOX run came to an end, but fans had no reason to mourn, as TBS immediately stepped in to continue the series.

Season numbering issues aside, Deadline reports that TBS has renewed American Dad! for two additional seasons, taking the series through what most guides call season 15.

The series centers on super patriotic Central Intelligence Agency agent Stan Smith (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, Va.

Additionally, American Dad! will soon be joined on TBS by the new Conan O'Brien-produced animated comedy Final Space, forming a one-hour animation block on the network from 10-11pm on Mondays.

Final Space, based on Rogers' 2016 video short of the same name, follows a spaceman named Gary who is serving a prison sentence and meets and quickly befriends a mysterious alien named Mooncake. But what Gary doesn't know is that his adorable new sidekick is actually wanted by the sinister Lord Commander who will stop at nothing to use Mooncake's untapped powers for evil. Voice actors include Rogers, Fred Armisen, Tom Kenny, David Tennant, Tika Sumpter, Steven Yeun, Coty Galloway, Ron Perlman, Gina Torres, Andy Richter and Conan O'Brien also provide voices. Final Space is set to premiere on February 26th at 10:30 p.m. The irreverent, satirical, award-winning animated comedy is created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, executive-produced by co-showrunner Brian Boyle along with creators MacFarlane and Weitzman.

"Animation has played a huge role in making us the #1 comedy network", said Brett Weitz, executive vice president of programming for TBS. "We will keep the momentum going with the two season pick up of "American Dad" and finally introducing the world to the brilliantly constructed misadventures of Gary in 'Final Space'".
