And today, the same phone gets the 3C Certifications. Well, technically, it's just the Nokia brand, while the phones are actually designed and commissioned by HMD Global - a young company, filled to the brim with ex-Nokia and ex-Microsoft head honchos.

Mobile phone users in Pakistan are fast shifting to hi-tech products; of the 24 million mobile sets being imported in a year, nearly half are smartphones, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. This won't be surprising as a lot more phones in 2018 are expected to sport narrow bezels. We know the Nokia 9 will be much like the Nokia 8 with a big 18:9 display and waterproofing, however, there is also a Nokia 8 (2018) on the way as spotted in multiple leaks, which would also appear to have an 18:9 display as well (thought we're not clear on if other 2018 re-boots including the Nokia 8 will have the Nokia 9's waterproofing feature).

Nokia has an event lined up for January 19, and it's suspected it may launch the Nokia 9, as well as one or more Nokia 2018 re-boots - the Nokia 8 (2018) has been tipped for this previously.

The company released 5 different phones this year, covering all tiers of the market - from the entry-level, super-budget Nokia 2 to the flagship-class Nokia 8.

The Nokia 6 (2018) will come with dual-SIM support like the original version and could run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box given HMD's support for running stock Android and promise of fast updates.

You can expect the Nokia 6 (2018) to sport the usual connectivity options such Wi-Fi, 4G LTE. Especially with the Nokia 9 still MIA.

Rumours also have it that the Nokia 6 (2018) will be arriving at the annual MWC 2018 in February next year, and China would be the first country to get their hands on it. So hopefully, the Nokia 6 (2018) will also announce on the same date as reports are claiming so.

It's likely we'll see a new Nokia 6 in January 2018, although as before it may not make it to the United Kingdom immediately.
