Antonio Conte is quite certain that Chelsea talisman, Eden Hazard still has room for improvement. But former Blues and Real Madrid midfielder Micheal Essien has asked the club to secure their superstar.

In fact, Hazard has scored eight times and has made four assists in 18 appearances in all competitions this term since his return from his broken ankle.

Essien has conceded that the Spanish giants will be a big draw for Hazard, but the 35-year-old is hopeful that the Premier League champions will be able to tie the Belgian global to a new long-term contract.

In an interview with Goal, Essien said "He could go to Real Madrid to win the Balon d'Or easier". He's very strong, he may be little but he is strong, trust me!

"Eden Hazard is looking as sharp as I have seen him", Redknapp told the Daily Mail. It is hard to get the ball off him. He is proving it week-in, week-out. According to the Mirror, the player had rejected the latest £300k-a-week deal put on the table by Chelsea, knowing that Spanish super club Real Madrid are interested in acquiring his services.

Essien further added "He can always create something to do something with the ball".

Chelsea are keen to tie Hazard down to a new deal but the Belgian is in no rush to renew his contract and says he will wait until the end of the season before deciding his future.

His response perhaps sums up just how terrifying the tricky playmaker is to play against as a defender.
