During The Game Awards 2017 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds developers PUBG Corporation shared a new trailer showing off the multiplayer online battle royale game's new map "Miramar". This is the first time the new map was seen in action, and it's a huge moment for the millions playing the game. We also got a December 20th release date for the map alongside the game's 1.0 update, which will see it exit "early access" and bring much-needed additions like vaulting along with graphical improvements and other changes. The abandoned factory town of Chumacera looks to be an interesting location to visit, and the oceanside Valle del Mar (Valley of the Sea) will play an important role, connecting a prison island to the map's mainland. It contains some denser urban areas, including a massive city far larger than anything the game has offered thus far. When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. The Xbox One X Game Preview program, on the other hand, will be launching on December 12.

Miramar is rolling out to the Battlegrounds public test servers tonight at 12 a.m. PT/ 3 a.m. ET. Additionally, a preview period for the Xbox One port will take place on December 12th.
