The OxygenOS 4.7.4 update for OnePlus 5T is based Android Nougat and is sized at 285MB.

Soon after the announcement of the OnePlus 5T came an official confirmation from the company that the device will get the Android Oreo update by the end of this year and the OnePlus 5 will receive the same in November itself. It is available over-the-air and will automatically reach your 5T smartphone. The update was released on Thursday and will reach all OnePlus 5T units over the next few days.

There is more to OxygenOS 4.7.4 build, BTW. There are also optimisations made for Wi-Fi battery usage, and the update also brings stability for fingerprint recognition and the Global Positioning System unit. There is an optimised UI of the default Camera app and some improvements to enhance the quality of photos through the new OnePlus smartphone. Additionally, the speaker and earphones will now sound better.

Among other changes, you can expect improvements to Face Unlock feature, vibration and stability of the fingerprint sensor and Global Positioning System.

Let us know how the new update treats you, and whether there are any issues that remain unresolved for you even after the update. Last we heard, all the tickets for the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition launch set for 14 December have already been sold out. This limited edition includes the same specifications as the regular OnePlus 5T, however it sports a White back with a small Star Wars logo and red alert slider.
