The move is meant to introduce the next generation of comic-entertainment-consuming humans to the next generation of diverse and inclusive Marvel heroes. Ming-Na Wen will be Hela, the villain of Thor: Ragnarok, and Kathleen Khavari will voice Ms. Marvel again like she now does in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Marvel announced a new animated movie titled "Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors" featuring young, diverse, up-and-coming superheroes like Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, Miss America, and Spider-Gwen.

Other talent involved include Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Dove Cameron as Spider-Gwen, who will now be known as Ghost-Spider, Tyler Posey as the Inhuman known as Inferno, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Kim Raver as Captain Marvel, Booboo Stewart as a new Inhuman called Exile, and Dee Bradley Baker as Squirrel Girl's companion Toe, and Lockjaw from The Inhumans. "So I'm very excited that our Marvel Rising team of heroes is so inclusive, reflecting characters with different backgrounds, particularly a set of strong female leads that our young audience can connect with", said Cort Lane, Marvel's Senior Vice President of Animation & Family Entertainment.

Marvel released a video introducing the rest of the voice cast for "Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors".
