Reports earlier this week suggested that potential deals were in place with the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals, but Rosenthal writes that Stanton is unwilling to accept deals to those teams.

This, of course, doesn't mean Stanton can't change his mind, but as of right now these four teams are the preferred destinations for the All-Star slugger.

There's only one problem: Stanton has a full no-trade clause in his contract. Boone has never managed or coached, working as a broadcaster since last season after retiring as a player in 2009.

But here's the thing: Even if these are teams Stanton would be willing to play for, the question is whether they want him.

Craig Mish and Jim Bowden of SiriusXM are reporting that Giancarlo Stanton has indicated a preference for joining the Dodgers or Yankees in a trade. It's unclear what's happening with the Yankees or Dodgers.
