NORMAN OK – NOVEMBER 25 Quarterback Baker Mayfield

Mark Andrews, who earlier in day learned he had won the Mackey Award as the nation's most outstanding tight end, along with Orlando Brown and Baker Mayfield are representing the Sooners. Andrews beat out Wisconsin senior Troy Fumagalli and Penn State senior Mike Gesicki for the award.

A trio of Sooners arrived in Atlanta Wednesday in advance of The Home Depot College Football Awards, which will air Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Andrews has been quarterbackBaker Mayfield's favorite target all season long.

The John Mackey Award is given to the top tight end in the country. He was an All-Big 12 First Team selection for his efforts, and he's been a vital part to the Sooner offense for the past three seasons, helping Oklahoma to two College Football Playoff berths and three-consecutive Big 12 championships. His production has nearly doubled this season, with 58 receptions for 906 yards and an average of 15.6 yards per catch. Missouri's Chase Coffman is the only other Big 12 player to win the Mackay award.
